Its first purpose is to provide the connection point between the wheelbarrow and The W.I.T.C.H.™. But the Key-Bar also remains useful when the wheelbarrow is being operated normally by hand.
By tying the two handles together, the Key-Bar can help reduce excessive handle flex, improve stability, and give the operator additional grip and leverage when pushing, lifting, dumping, crossing curbs, or controlling the wheelbarrow through transitions.
Its hip-height position also gives the operator another way to start or move the wheelbarrow by engaging more of the legs, hips, back, and upper body instead of relying only on the hands, arms, and shoulders.
